As we approached Sydney, Australia, I looked out the window and saw the city lights. It was breathtakingly beautiful! I seriously could not get enough of it. Everything about the scenery just made me want to see more. Wish I could’ve taken a better picture from the window…not posting it lol. Anyway, I can’t wait for that 12 hour layover that I have in September in Sydney before going home!

Arrived at Guangzhou, China. It was dark, rainy, and cloudy. Got there early morning and once I stepped out of the plane, the humidity just came at me and I felt sweaty and sticky all over. I didn’t get to take a picture.
I almost missed my flight! Whenever I would ask someone about my baggage and tell them that I’m going to Guilin, they would say “just wait a moment” and when the guy asked who was going to Guilin, I told him I was. He asked me for my name, I showed it to him and he said “okay” and just left without saying anything. I seriously wanted to yell at them that I’m going to miss my flight! Thankfully, a lady helped me out and asked one of the attendants about my situation and I was able to go to make my boarding gate. Finally! It was my first time going outside to go into an airplane. Pretty interesting, though I wish I could’ve taken a picture. Oh well. Also, I had to switch seats with a kid cuz the parents wanted him/her to sit with them. It was understandable, so I obliged.
After over an hour, I finally arrived at Guilin, China. When I went to use the bathroom, their toilet was on the floor! I had to squat lol was weird and when I got out of my stall, I noticed that the stalls in front of me had regular toilets. -___-
Anyway, the lady that came to pick me up from the airport is really sweet. Her name is Shu Chang, or Golden. She dropped me off at the Backstreet Hostel, which looks like a café but also sells alcoholic beverages. Gotta wait till 1pm when she comes back since she has to pick up another person at the airport in like 15 minutes. Anyway, I’m sitting at the Hostel right now, a little bored. I emailed people I intended to. Too bad I can’t go on facebook, but I’ll live. Also skyped with Liane, which was nice until she signed off on me! Nah, whatever.
The weather sucks. humid, cloudy, rainy…not a good combo. The cigarette smoke is mixing with what seems like vog, well it’s probably just the cloudiness, but it’s making me feel sick.
Nevertheless, Guilin is a beautiful place. Lots of mountains and green scenery and some rivers. Pretty cool. I should go take pictures…later.
